The Courier reported March 4th that the current St Michael Hotel is suing the future Prescott Plaza Hotel.
The complaint argues that, in voting to approve the project, the city ignored Ordinance No. 3744, which states that properties within the Courthouse Plaza Preservation District are required to comply with standards that preserve its historical character, prohibits four-story properties, and requires all buildings to have a parapet at least four feet above the roof.
Not sure the intent of the lawsuit except to delay City approvals.
