What is going on?

NEW CONSTRUCTION is happening at Pine Ridge Marketplace, (Gateway Mall). At the south side, at the food courts, next to the exterior pickleball courts is a new 4 story apartment building under construction. The project was called Gateway Apartments a few years ago. It has a new owner and construction has started.
Does anyone have more information?

I drove by the site. I could not see any banners on the construction fencing indicating the builder or owner or what's going on. Last week I called the mall's phone number on their website, and 'security' answered. I said I am looking for mall office or info. He gave me a 1-800 number, I called, no answer.

The Prescott building permit shows the owner and the contractor:
OWNER: ZL PRESCOTT LLC - 6300 PROVIDENCE WAY, EASTVALE, CA
CONTRACTOR: McCloud Enterprise Inc - 7375 Deep Creek Road, Apple Valley, CA

I am curious about the project, yet there is very little information about it in local news or social media. In April 2024 a local news outlet interviewed mall owner Chris Lupo.
The article said construction of a four-story Wingate by Wyndham hotel in the parking lot next to Espire Sports could start later this year, owner Chris Lupo said, and “will be a great addition to the center.” With housing proposals springing up around the mall in the past few years, he said there’s a “high likelihood” of it appearing in some form near Pine Ridge Marketplace in the next five years.
Well, it is here.

I believe it will be a great addition to the mall. Housing is needed in Prescott. I understand there are two 4 story towers planned, but maybe only one is being built in this phase. There are 72 units in each tower, and a clubhouse with a pool is also planned.

Billc, so, city says 144 apartment units, that means they are building two 4 story towers. 72 units each, identical towers.
Wonder why there is not much info about it, when opening, renderings etc. Owner just not ready for that, I guess.
